Christian King: Fall/Winter Collection 2010

Christiane King was born and raised in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. Although she had a strong interest in fashion, it wasn’t a practical career path for her while in Cote d’Ivoire,  so she obtained a degree in International Trade. Four years later and unfulfilled with the offerings of her degree, she relocated to the United States. While in America, Christiane was opened with the opportunity to become a fashion designer, and took the opportunity by enrolling at Woodbury University in Los Angeles where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design. Christiane launched her first collections in 2006 and has been growing since then, over the years we have seen celebrities such as Terri Hatcher and Lisa Raye grace the red carpet with her designs. In the fashion business, there are two kinds of designers; the ones who wake up and say; “I want to be a designer!” and the ones who either go to fashion school or pay their dues by working with acclaimed designers in the industry before branching out, and Christiane King is definitely a designer who has paid her dues. Her collections describes everything about feminity and luxury with bodice and ruffles to die for, she has certainly developed since her days on project runway and she certainly deserves to be applaud. Designers such as Christiane certainly makes one proud to be African view her collections below:
