NaKIMuli is your new crazy cool brand to watch out for. This Brooklyn based brand created by Tennielle McMillan brings clothing both classical and innovative and goes beyond the traditions of women’s fashion and explores more of the imagination. NaKIMuli meaning flower in Ugandan, features a number of ready-to-wear African inspired pieces that are fun, quirky and unique with vibrant African prints plastered on funky silhouettes from leggings to bodycon dresses. Her 2010 collection called “Lock U up in Love for Days” was inspired by summer love in Brooklyn. In a recent interview with Fashion Bomb Daily, she explains she wanted to “capture the feeling of spring fling; meeting that special someone in Fort Greene Park and spending the spring days and evenings with him. Enjoying the weather, and wearing outfits that would make you feel young and flirty.”
